The combination of my work, life experience and research resulted in a unique set of skills that enables me to create phycological safe spaces where people welcome me with their stories, their aspirations, their work and their lives.
As an independent professional, I offer a range of services to help organizations and micro-communities strengthen their internal culture and image, through organizational listening consultations, in-depth interviews, ethnographic reporting, design and implementation of social dynamics, internal communication actions and workshops on personality and human relationships. All of these with the aim of strengthening organizational culture and identity, reinforcing people's commitment and sense of belonging in organizations, and ultimately, promoting happier and more expansive work environments for people.
The visual narrative (ethnographic photography) is added to any of the strategies as a language and instrument that allows me to translate people's expectations, struggles, points of view and daily lives.
The pictures captured during my interaction with people can become evocative prints, curated to provoke thought and stimulate dialogue, making them perfect for adding meaning to your spaces. See editorial section.
Ethnographic photography opens doors to deep knowledge of communities and unveils the subtle narratives of the human tapestry.
The challenge of getting people and organizations to look at themselves in the mirror is sometimes unsettling, but always fundamental to seize opportunities for development and overcoming challenges.
My ethnographic experience in an organizational context, as well as my knowledge of the work environments of dozens of companies, allowed me to unavoidably validate and reinforce the importance of satisfying human needs in the work environment.
With a degree in Journalism, a postgraduate diploma in Marketing and Commercial Management and a master's degree in Economics and Human Resources Management, I created and developed, over 12 years, commercial relationships in management and customer support, working in micro, medium and large companies from different economic sectors, ranging from culture and training to telecommunications, marketing and tourism.
During this period, I worked as a journalist, online TV anchor, copywriter, educational content creator, marketing and sales assistant, youth educator, cultural producer, operations director of a startup and coordinator of a multidisciplinary team in branding projects.
For five years I conducted social research in a Portuguese engineering Centre, providing consultancy on organizational culture and internal communication, reporting and supporting top management in their strategic decision processes.
In the meantime, I developed a methodology for organizational ethnography that combines photography and social dynamics – which led me to currently work as an independent professional, providing ethnographic portrays of communities through beautiful and meaningful experiences.
